Now we are in Australia.

Now we have landed in Australia and had time to familiarize ourselves with a little downtown Sydney and Wollongong.

When we were in Sydney was the Anzac, and there is some sort of weekend when they celebrate the old war heroes. We stayed at the YHA Central Sydney, opposite the train station. There is a fine hostel, but expensive. Everything is expensive in Sydney it seems. We traveled by train down to Wollongong to arrange with the last hard ...

We have had plenty to do. If you remember everything we had to arrange when we left New Zealand so we have had at least as much to organize this. We have visited the customs in Sydney, Quaranta, and the equivalent of road safety work. Then we go down to Wollongong to make appointments with Customs and biocontrol there.

All this work to get the motorcycles have taken two or three days to set up, but all have been so helpful and really organized so we could get the bikes from the port before we actually would.

Now we are soon on the road

Early morning ...

A quarter to five in the morning, our alarm clock rang. Then it was to go out o eat breakfast and then go down to Brito Mart station to take the commuter train out to the Otahuhu station again. At seven time would come and biokontrollanten our motorcycles and all packing. Prick at 7am and we arrived she began to go through the bikes piece by piece.

On my bike, she found a leaf that sat sandwiched somewhere and so she found a little dirt in one inner. Not so much to talk about, she thought, and threw it in the bin. It turned out that she was also named Karen and she was originally from Holland. But she had lived here long enough, it seemed.

We drove to the hostel that we live in and began the enormous job of packing on everything. Now, we have lived in backpacks for a month so now all our things in disarray. Auckland is a pleasant city with small-town feel. Stay around 1 million inhabitants, but there are invisible.

In the city there is not much traffic, and everywhere there is order and clean and nice. The very lives of Asians here in the neighborhood where our walk home, it is full of Chinese, Japanese and Korean restaurants and shops.

In town you can also see a lot of people with Asian backgrounds. As you walk around town, it's a wonderful mix of Asians, Maori and Westerners of all kinds. It talked a lot of different languages here and meet a lot of different cultures. However, there where English as a common denominator in the bottom all the time

Now we are straight in Sweden ...

We have met Berit o John again ...

Now we are in New Zealand. The trip here was quite good, apart from a couple of things that we had to already book a return ticket from NZ though we asked at the New Zealand Embassy and they told me that you did not need a return ticket. This is also done. But standing on an airport and do it, in some emergencies is get a little stressful. We came on board with 10 minutes to absorb it worked after all.

While we wait ...

We could not change our ticket ...

This means that our motorcycles will to New Zealand two days before us. We have been in contact with Rosa King of Wilhelmsen Ships Service in Auckland and she wanted our carnets and some other papers sent to them before.

Copies of passport and registration went well with the scan Lelle and broadcast via computer, but carnets she wanted to have the originals sent to themselves. One day in Bangkok to ...

Today, we have copies of all our paper and bring them on Wilhelm's office in Bangkok. We talked to them about when we get our bikes but also for the further transportation of motorcycles to New Zealand. It seems at this stage that the ship of our bikes will arrive on Sunday and the week we find out if we can get them then or on Monday. We also talked with a guy who has taken on work to check the further transport of containers, and how long it takes and what the cost will be. So now the ball rolling ...

We have also booked time at the BMW here in Bangkok for service on our bikes and if we get them in time they will be serviced on Monday. They have already gone a bit of overtime so it really is time to review.

We have also been o I bought new glasses, and Kjell. The seller said that this was all the rage in the fashion world and that we were very smart in them. They were not cheap but it may cost if you want to look good ....

A little joke and a bit seriously, we were at an IMAX theater and watched a 3-D film about the sea and it was absolutely incredible.
Now we are back "home" at the hotel and have just showered and will soon go down to eat something in the restaurant. There will be no late night for us because I (Karin) are not really keen, I've had a little fever for a few days and feel a bit drowsy. But on a day of rest, and I think I on my feet again.

Today, we Took copies of all our paper-making and Them too Wilhelm's office in Bangkok. We talked to Them about When We get our motorcycles But Also For The Further transportation of motorcycles to New Zealand. It Seems at this stage thats the ship of Our bikes Will Arrive on Sunday and this week we find out IF We Can get Them hadeeth or on Monday. We also "talked with a guy, WHO hock work on roofs to check the Further transport of containers, and how long it takes and what-The Cost Will Be. So Now That ball rolling ...

but it also took a whole day to tidy up all the papers. First, we examined o out duties were then checked in the bikes, it was mostly a formality and it was mostly questions like "How much is one of those in Sweden" or "how many cylinders it has." When I asked what it was in the bag one side so I said that there were clothes in it. I asked if I would open it but I did not. I did not open until a box or bag ... .... But it took about two hours.

Then came the stoll sample. We, me and Kjell alone would go to Osaka with the other registration documents, Carnet paperwork and everything else to get this approved out of J: A: F Japan Automobile Federation, the Japanese equivalent of the motor officers.

We got a map of the metro and train lines in the three-million city. First, we go underground a bit, then we would switch to commuter who joined in a ring road around the city, then we would switch to yet another train, and finally a piece of subway back. Now is not Japanese characters something that I have studied so deeply, so it was not easy finding your way. Fortunately, it is in English here and there too, but just know where to look. It took us an hour and a half to implement, but we got there eventually.

We received the papers needed for some problems because a letter of Kjell registration was not right, but finally accepted the paperwork and we could start on the journey back to port again. Now we knew a little more about how this worked so it took only about an hour to go back again.

Now awaiting custom. We went there and got our stamps and signatures and all the papers were audited o called and eventually we were ready, almost. Back to the port here and we would just Ordan with insurance and payment and a bit like that. The girls in the office had been looking up a hotel for us and we got a map and driving directions there. So at 19:20, we rolled through the gates and out into the dark night to look for a hotel. The boat came to Japan 9:45 in the morning so it was a long day for us before we checked in, ate something and settled in the room.

The boat hit yes. We had a nice cab and got both dinner and breakfast in the price. One of the men spoke very good English and very pleasant. Right as it was when we sat in a bar and drank a beer, he was rushing and had been looking after us on the boat. He had bought an amulet to me (Karin). There was a Korean who spent lucky amulet.

We are waiting for answers from the trans-prosthesis about the company and how and when we can get carried with our bikes from here.

Can we not get a response within two days so we'll take our bikes and go to Japan with a ferry because we only have permission to run with our bikes here until the 26th Much fuss with those bikes ....
Fear not the journey but just the hassle of duties and limits that is where the problems are. But we solve this too I guess.

We are told that in Busan, a city in South Korea, which is very beautiful, among a lot of mountains and valleys. It is easy to transport in Busan as it goes underground almost everywhere. It is easy to

transported to the beaches, the city's markets and other shopping-friendly areas. It is a very quiet town despite its size and you can see youngsters not bustle no graffiti or somewhere. Vehicles move at a steady trot battle but you rarely hear chiming or see someone push themselves. A big contrast to Russia where everyone chimed and crowded.

You get "mad mothers o mad at the right time," wherever you go. Here in Busan, there are probably 500 000 restaurants just on our little street, there are probably 100's. Almost every small hole in the wall is a restaurant and sits oddly enough the people o the chaps at every little brawn. I believe that everyone go out o eat instead of cooking yourself.

tonight we were at a famous restaurant here in kvartert known for its "pig soup". There was a hotel owner who recommended it and he even followed us there and ordered us to ensure we got right. It was really good, we got a soup with vegetables and this served the cooked pork could dip in soy sauce mixed with mustard. vick, we have a lot of side dishes and we are well in all honesty say that we do not really know what all was, but it was good. It is fair to say that the food is not at home. ... But I guess that is the charm. A little surprises every now and then will not hurt.

We are still in the Russian country by the sea in the east, and we can almost look over to Japan where we wanted. We were also booked a ticket and there, but ... ... Now, the ferry foundered and will not be attending about two months. each Show to Russia expires on 11 / 9 and maybe we'll get to go with another ferry to South Korea but it is not clear that we've had with it. There is a ferry on Saturday too, but we have nothing to show who is of a ... ...

So we have been very busy with trying to ascertain how we can get out of here. If all goes as it must be said, perhaps tomorrow, otherwise we get busy with the extension to be Show and see when we can come up with next boat.

First day in Russia
