Karaoke in Japanese ...

We were on our last night of karaoke in Tokyo. First, we were to eat at a Korean restaurant along with two Koreans, one Japanese and one guy from America. We ate traditional Korean food and it was a welcome return for our part. At last, a bit spicy foods properly.

On the way to room 410, we passed a lot of other rooms and from the inside you could hear people singing in full throat. I thought it was a small bar where everyone gathered a few pieces and took a drink while someone sang to the music and text on a television screen.

Room No. 410 was a small room with a sofa and a table in front of a television facility. There were also a couple of microphones, and a couple of large boxes in which they chose the songs that we wanted to sing. There were no bars or other people.

Luckily we had a Korean girl with us whose name was Kimmie and she knew how this came about. She started the machine and made sure that we found a couple of songs that we knew that we could sing to. After a while, it was really fun but very different. duett
Kimmie Thank you for taking care of us.

Right now we are sitting at the airport and computerized bit while we wait for the check-in. So ... we'll see when we have internet access next time.

Takeshita dori, which is called the intersection is a mix of people and cars and flashing lights, fun to have seen it.

Then we got to Ginza and took pictures of all men and all the shops.

When we call, we pay a little money if we are calling a landline phone number and a little more if we are calling a cell phone. If you are calling us from Sweden, you pay just like a regular local calls within Sweden.

Cloudy with transportation ....

Now it seems that we have come a step closer to transport our bikes from Japan to Thailand. We have been in Yokohama in the day and talked to the company that will help us to store them until the boat is on the 26th They also help us to do all the paperwork needed to get them out of the country again. We shall leave out the bikes to them on Monday, and then we fly on. We believe that we only fly to Bangkok and then on to Vietnam, for what we view as it is cheaper to travel via Bangkok than directly to Vietnam, strangely enough.

NOW for the best ... Wallenius Wilhelm's shipping company has decided to invite us on the trip to Thailand. Perhaps this may be due to Kjell has been working with them during the days when he worked as a diver. They remember him. In any case, we are very grateful for this and hope somehow one day to reciprocate.

We bought a video camera and Kjell have built a stronghold for this on his motorcycle. We had a small stand that he scrapped and rebuilt so we can have video cameras or any of the seated securely. You do not want to lose the video during the trip.

Kjell's battery on the motorcycle, BMW's original, has been ill for some time and yesterday he ran off and bought a new one. It is not that we have to charge the battery as soon as you stood still for a few days. So we can not have it when we are somewhere where you can not access the stream so that you can download. We'll see maybe we can even replace the battery on my bike because it is not really good. We got help with jumper cables when we stood still in Korea a little week.

At night when we came back he left in exactly the same position as when we left. There were police and ambulance staff around him and it turned out that the poor fellow had died in the middle of the crowd. Tragic.

We have not yet managed to see the rock on which we ran here was the rain and mist and also it became dark before we reached the hostel, so we hope we will get a glimpse of it tomorrow.

We have hit pay motorways today and now tonight, we observed that the approximately 40 miles has cost us in 1200 .- toll, talk about toll roads, I believe that we actually bought the route. But in itself it's clear that it costs because we have driven through several tunnels and when I quickly figured out how far it was so they were together more than 15 km tunnel on this route. We also drove over 4 pc bridges about the same length as the Oresund Bridge.

It is fine to run on non-toll roads, but if you could run those up here today so we had not caught up to the mountain for the evening.

The weather today has been very light rain almost all day, but the button so that the roadway was wet. But the closer we got the rock and the more rain the evening o fog became. So the last bit of Fujikawaguchiko, as the small town where we live is called, it was both dark, foggy and rainy. No fun together, so we took it very carefully last bit.

Yesterday we were real tourists in Kyoto. we were at a temple, a fortress and a castle where the Shogun lived. In addition, we were up in the Kyoto Tower, wow what a view. We were up at 100 meters above the city and had good control over the entire center.

We also tried to go to Kyoto's subway was very easy compared to Osaka. It has only a few lines and is very well organized and safe. When you stand and wait on trains so that you are in a waiting room. Not only will the train doors open so that you can get on the train. Before one can not get near the tracks. Great.
shouguns palats
At the castle where Shougun lived, as Ninjo castle was called, but it does not take any pictures. It was very interesting going o look in the rooms where he worked and lived. In the corridors, they had a special floor that was "hung" on an ingenious device so that it was almost like floating. P. Because of this, "squeaked" the floor all the time you bought it. It also called for "nightingale floor" as it chirped like a bird.

There was no furniture in the house without any acknowledgment of the people, work-life observed sitting on the floor. In the private areas of the castle was just Shougan and women staying here so he alone was lord of the Hill. Women were 13 in number and it was a great honor to belong to this crowd.

It also survived a lot of ministers and other officials in the other parts of the house.

In Shouguns garden, there were only pines, for he did not want it to be altered with the seasons. He wanted it to look like day out all year so that he did not think of that time went.

We strolled around in the old quarter where there are still a lot of old wooden houses left. It is so cool o nice in these kvarteraen so that it is difficult to understand that you are in a city. Kyoto has about 1.5 million inhabitants. It was the capital of Japan between 796 and 1868. But still crowned emperor here. There are around 1600 Buddhist and Shinto temples and therefore the city was spared during the second väldskriget from bombing raids. Someone thought this was worthy of preservation.

When you stroll around the Koyoto can not believe this is a million city. All the time you have a small-town feel and the streets are quiet and not much traffic. On the slightly larger streets that cross the city in regular grid, the traffic is certainly a little more intense but far from dense. It does not smell much gas but the air is clean and fresh. Vehicles move on the peaceful and nice, no one honks or crowding. Everyone is very polite and let each other up and nobody would get the idea to go against the red man. It is clean and nice and quiet.

On the way to the park we walked past a man sitting outside a coffee shop with a table full of miniature instruments that he himself made.
karin o kazunori

Absolutely amazing guy who had made copies of all the great masters Gitar. His name was Kazunori Yoshida and we talked to him a long moment and looked at all the tiny instruments that were set in plexiglass boxes.

Small wonders ... ..

Since we were completely charmed by his fine work as he thought it was fun to show. After a while he took up a minaityr but LP sleeve and inner sleeve and all. He gave it to Kjell, saying that it was a gift for that we appreciate his work.

Small disc, great job ....

He has a page on the web, it is certainly in Japanese but there are a lot of nice pictures of his work.

We have left the coast and drove towards the hinterland. Different. We've been running over a small hill and back to where it was not so much building, but now we are in a large plain, and here it is built over it.

There is no limit as well as between the villages or towns, one after another, but if it is to have 130 million people place on an area the size of Bengal as it is necessary to build on anything that can be built. Tonight we have taken in to a hotel capable of operating in an area with a lot of big deals. It is as if you built a hotel on the "Well-south" opposite Harald Nyborg. In addition, it is fully loaded.

we've been running all day and that means we run about 20 mil. because they are running at max 50-60 km per hour here. The roads are really nice and the weather has been fine today. Sun and about 27-28 degrees. It can not complain, right?
