Now we are soon on the road

Early morning ...

A quarter to five in the morning, our alarm clock rang. Then it was that go up o eat breakfast and then go down to Brito Mart station to take the commuter train out to the Otahuhu station again. In the meantime, namely 7 biokontrollanten come and our bikes and all the packing. Prick at 7am and we arrived she began to go through the bikes piece by piece.

On my bike, she found a leaf that sat sandwiched somewhere and so she found a little dirt in one inner. Not so much to talk about, she thought, and threw it in the bin. It turned out that she was also named Karen and she was originally from Holland. But she had lived here long enough, it seemed.
After biobesiktningen our bikes were ready in the harbor so now we could take them and run. But we had to drive into a testing center and see if they could inspect them. We drove there and they really did not know himself what rules were in place, but eventually they came to the conclusion that because we have already been on the go 'AA and registered them so that was enough. They are ready for the New Zealand roads ...

We drove to the hostel that we live in and began the enormous job of re-pack everything. Now, we have lived in backpacks for a month so now all our things in disarray. But we have worked hard and now this evening we found that most things are beginning to find their usual places in the bike's bags and boxes.

Now we are in New Zealand. The trip here was quite good, apart from a couple of things that we had to already book a return ticket from NZ though we asked at the New Zealand Embassy and they told me that you did not need a return ticket. This is also done. But standing on an airport and do it, in some emergencies are a little bit stressful. We came on board with 10 minutes to absorb it worked after all.

260px-Flag_of_Thailand

Thank you and goodbye to Thailand. We have been in your country to and from the slightly more than 3 months and during that time we have been able to enjoy your beautiful country, good food and you got to know a lot of very nice people.

Kingofsiam

Our time here has been rewarding for both body and soul and we are very grateful that we had opportunities to run around and explore your country.

The time has come when we shall go further and we just want to thank you for our time here.

While we wait ...

We could not change our ticket ...

This means that our motorcycles will to New Zealand two days before us. We have been in contact with Rosa King of Wilhelmsen Ships Service in Auckland and she wanted our carnets and some other papers sent to them before.

Copies of passport and registration went well with the scan Lelle and broadcast via computer, but carnets she wanted to have the originals sent to themselves. It's just that these would disappear in the post to NZ so we are of 40 000 crowns, which we have set as a guarantee for them. We sent them by DHL, which could provide some form of guarantee that they would arrive and where you also can track your shipment from the PC. Rosa King has announced that they reached ...

Hard work ...
As always when you travel around with motorcycles, you can never be quite sure how it will go. When we sent the bikes from Thailand, we had preliminary information indicates that it would take between 23 and 30 days to ship them to NZ. Therefore, we ordered a flight to the 23rd February, because we thought that we would be were there in good time.

Now it turns out, however, that motorcycles will be in NZ on the 22nd of February and we will arrive there on 24th So now we must check if it is possible to book the tickets so that we can arrive in NZ before them.

Here at Sinar Bangka our bikes are now ...

Is not this so we send all our papers in advance with DHL so that the lady at Wilhelmsen Ships Service in Auckland can start the process of duty in them, disinfect them, check to inspect them and assure them and all that now needs to run with them in NZ.

But we are accustomed. How it works of course when you travel with bikes. There are always bikes must decide what we can do, where we can travel, and how long it takes. It is also well that this is the charm of the trip that we do.

We learn a lot about the rules in the different countries, how to deal with carnets, customs and other papers, how to get the visa, and so on forever. Probably we will become specialists in transporting vehicles all over the world before we come home, and that's good.

We have had visitors here in Thailand. First we met Emil Schoug and Joel Fröderberg.

Both guys are from our home and it was fun to sit and talk with them for a while.

Then phoned Stefan Johansson and his partner J Caisa to us and said they were in Thailand and when it became apparent that we all found ourselves in Phuket, we decided hit.

Hard job ...

As usual, around "When you travel with motorcycles, You Can Never ask quite how Sure Will it go. But we are Used to all this. This Is How it works When You Travel with motorcycles. It's Always the bikes how DECIDE What We Can Do, Where We Can travel and how long it takes. But it is also "as this Is The Romance of travel as we do. We learn a lot about The Rules In The Different countries, how to deal with Carnet and Customs Papers, How to get a showing and so on Into Eternity. Probably We Will Become specialist in transit vehicles sporting all over the world before we come home, and that's good.

We begged visits here in Thailand. First we met Emil Schoug and Joel Fröderberg. Both boys are from our home and it was Fun to sit and talk with Them for a while. She HAD A few photos of Us When We Drove through Patong behind the recording bus. We see very Concentrated out, at least, I (Karin)

Final sprint in Thailand

Now we are back in Patong. Life here runs on just as usual and not much is changed more than that here is a bit fewer tourists.

The streets are no longer so busy and it's not that long queues at the tills of the big department store. Among the foreigners who live here more or less permanent life goes on in their usual track, you will meet drinking a beer together and talk a bit.
stranden
The beach ...
It is still relatively hot and humid so it's nice to go down o take a dip in the sea which lies there like turquoise and salt as usual. It is also seen on the beaches, many tourists have gone home, it is not as crowded at times the sun loungers and sex to the shower is nonexistent ... Patong is toward the low season and it is already being felt.

From Sha-Am to Bangkok, we took one of the many mini-buses operating in Thailand, like small shot coils back and forth. The ticket cost 180 Bath and then we came to Viktory Memory station in the middle of Bangkok. Bus station was largely in BTS station also named Viktory memory so it was very easy for us to take us on to Wilhelm's Shipping office where we were. On the BTS (Skytrain) train and on to a combined MTS and BTS (metro) station where we switched to the metro and went to Sathorn Road where the office is located.

When we got up in the office had our paper finally come back from Costume but not this time they were quite right. This time all the papers stamped in the correct places, but Customs had not torn from his part from carnets block so we did it himself and left them to Tongchai, the guy on Wilhelm's has had such trouble with all our papers. Now also all costs and such companies taken together and for sending two motorbikes to New Zealand we had to pay approximately 10 000 Swedish crowns.
wilhelmsens logo
Head of Wilhemsen Ships Service (Thailand) Ltd., named Bjorn Karlsson and we sat and talked with him a long while before we finally thanked us and all the help we got from them. They have really set up and arranged everything for us in the best way we have to say. In Thailand, it is not to organize like this myself, so without Wilhelm's had enough this has become both more expensive and taken much longer if we were tried on us to fix this myself. So THANK YOU all of Wilhelmsen Ships Service for all the help.

Wilhelmsen's Ships Service has offices all over the world almost, and if they do not have lines that self-serving at the route you need, they can always arrange so that it comes with the container in another boat. We are very pleased with their cooperation and will probably use their services will continue because it works so well and smoothly.

After the visit at the office we went out to the airport and booked a ticket to Phuket. We came with a plane at 8 o'clock in the evening so we were at the home of Lelle again before midnight. Out at the airport was the taxi drivers as usual on the inbound tourists. We each took a ticket for 150 baht with a company that has mini-buses from the airport, so we just present our tickets so they ended up crowding around us. Nice to not have any bargaining with taxi drivers who in any case never goes below 500 baht for the same trip. It was easy to go with these mini-buses for the drove us all the way to your door.

NOW also "all costs and aggregated Such was ready, and to send two motorcycles from Thailand, New Zealand too, We Were Paying around 10 000 Swedish crowns.

Head of Wilhemsen Ships Service (Thailand) Ltd..
