Tired and dirty we are sitting on a nice porch at a small inn and has ordered their noodle soup was. We are in Ciangkhan situated along the river and the inn, Baansangthong Pub, where we live is very spartan but cozy.

On the walls hang everything possible and wherever you look so you can find something new. From the radio flowing Thai love ballads at low volume and we look out over the Mekong River where the sun is reflected in the slowly flowing water.

The owner called Theppari lives here with his family and the children are in the kitchen and look in wonder at us when we sit on the porch. On the other side we see Laos and it feels very close.

We've been running from Nam Pat on the winding roads over mountains and down into the valleys on all surfaces. Asphalt, asphalt, bad, good gravel roads and solve really bad dirt roads. We've been running at an average speed of 51 km per hour and managed to travel over 250 km from this morning.
