Nu är vi tillbaka i Patong. Livet här flyter på precis som vanligt och inte mycket är förändrat mer än att här är lite färre turister.

Gatorna är inte så hårt trafikerade längre och det är inte så långa köer i kassorna på de stora varuhuset. Bland de utlänningar som bor här mer eller mindre permanent går livet på i sina vanliga spår, man träffas dricker en öl tillsammans och snackar lite.

Stranden…
Det är fortfarande varmt och relativt fuktigt så det är skönt att åka ned o ta ett dopp i havet som ligger där lika turkost och salt som det brukar. Det märks också på stränderna att många turister åkt hem, Det är inte lika trångt ibland solstolarna och kön till duschen är obefintlig… Patong går mot lågsäsong och det märks redan.

Från Sha-am till Bangkok tog vi en av de många minibussar som trafikerar Thailand likt små skottspolar kors och tvärs. Biljetten kostade 180 Bath och då kom vi till Viktory Memory Station mitt i Bangkok. Buss stationen låg i stort sett under BTS stationen som också heter Viktory Memory så det var väldigt lätt för oss att ta oss vidare till Wilhelmsens Shippings kontor dit vi skulle. På BTS(Skytrain) tåget och vidare till en kombinerad BTS och MTS (metro) station där vi bytte till metron och åkte till Sathorn street där kontoret ligger.

När vi kom upp på kontoret hade våra papper äntligen kommit tillbaka ifrån Costum men inte heller den här gången var de riktigt rätt. Den här gången var alla papper stämplade på rätt ställen men tullen hade inte rivit ur sin del ur Carnet blocket så det gjorde vi själv och lämnade dem till Tongchai, killen på Wilhelmsens som haft sådant besvär med alla våra papper. Nu var också alla kostnader och sådant hopräknade och för att skicka 2 motorcyklar till Nya Zeeland fick vi betala runt 10 000 Svenska kronor.

Chefen på Wilhemsen Ships Service (Thailand) Ltd, heter Björn Karlsson och vi satt och pratade med honom en lång stund innan vi slutligen tackade för oss och all hjälp vi fått av dem. De har verkligen ställt upp och ordnat allt till oss på bästa vis måste vi säga. I Thailand är det inte till att ordna sådant här själv, så utan Wilhelmsens hade det här nog blivit både dyrare och tagit betydligt längre tid om vi skulle försökt oss på att fixa detta själv. Wilhelmsens Ships Service har kontor nästan över hela världen och om de inte har linjer som själv trafikerar just den rutt man behöver så kan de alltid ordna med så att man kommer med i container på någon annan båt. Vi är väldigt nöjda med deras samarbete och kommer antagligen att använda deras tjänster även i fortsättningen eftersom det fungerar så bra och smidigt.

Efter besöket på kontoret åkte vi ut till flygplatsen och bokade en biljett till Phuket. Vi kom med ett plan vid 8 tiden på kvällen så vi var hemma hos Lelle igen innan midnatt. Ute på flygplatsen slogs taxichaufförerna som vanligt om de ankommande turisterna. Vi tog var sin biljett för 150 bath med ett bolag som har minibussar från flygplatsen så vi behövde bara visa upp våra biljetter så slutade de trängas runt oss. Skönt att slippa all kohandel med taxi chaufförerna som i vilket fall som helst aldrig går under 500 bath för samma resa. Det var smidigt att åka med de här minibussarna för de körde oss ända hem till dörren.

Now we are back in Patong. Life here runs on just as usual and not much is changed more than that here are a bit fewer tourists. The streets are not so busy longer, and it’s not that long queues at checkouts at the big department store. Among the foreigners who live here more or less permanent life goes on in their usual track, you meet drinking a beer together and talk a bit.

It is still warm and quite humid, so it’s nice to go down and take a bath in the sea which lies there, turquoise and salt as it usually does. It can also see on the beaches, that many tourists had gone home, it is not as crowded anymore and the queues to the shower is non-existent … Patong is toward the low season and it shows already.

From Sha-Am to Bangkok, we took one of the many mini-buses plying Thailand like small bullets back and forth. The ticket cost 180 Bath and then we came to victory Memory Station in the middle of Bangkok. Bus station remained broadly in BTS station, also named victory memory so it was very easy for us to go to Wilhelm’s Shipping office. On the BTS (Sky train) train and on to a combined BTS and MTS (metro) station where we switched to the metro and went to Sathorn Road where the office is located.

When we got up in the office had our paper finally came back from Costume but not even this time they were really right. This time it was all paper was stamped in the right places but the custom had not torn out there piece from Carnet block so we did it our self and left them to Tongchai, the guy at Wilhelm’s, which had such trouble with all our papers.
Now also all costs and such aggregated was ready, and to send 2 motorcycles from Thailand too New Zealand, we were paying around 10 000 Swedish kronor.

Head of Wilhemsen Ships Service (Thailand) Ltd. is a man named Bjorn Karlsson and we sat and talked with him for a long while before we finally thanked for us and all the help we received from them. They have really set up and arranged everything for us in the best way we have to say. In Thailand, it is not to organize like this yourself, so without Wilhelm’s help, this has become both more expensive and taken much longer if we were trying us to fix this our self. Wilhelm’s Ships Service has offices almost worldwide, and if they do not have lines that self-serving precisely the route you need so they can always arrange so that it comes with the container in another boat. We are very pleased with their cooperation and will probably use their services again because it works so well and smoothly.

After the visit at the office we went out to the airport and booked a ticket to Phuket. We came with a plane at 8 o’clock in the evening so we were at the home of Lelle again before midnight. Out on the airport were the taxi drivers as usual on the arrival of tourists. We took one ticket for 150 bath with a company how had minibus from the airport, so we just show our tickets so ended the crowd around us. Nice to avoid all the haggling with taxi drivers who in any case never goes below 500 bath for the same trip. It was easy to go with these mini-buses for they drove us right to our door.
